I bet everyone comes across this term atleast once in a day. So what’s the point of self love? Why self love is important?
Self love means being in love with your own soul, body and mind. Obviously It’s more than buying yourself flowers and treating yourself with your favourite food.
We often tend to confuse ourselves with the terms self love and self care. Both may feel like the same but actually it’s different.
In self care, you take care of yourself physically and mentally whereas in Self love, you start to show respect and kindness to yourself.
Self love is all about believing and accepting yourself. If you can’t love yourself then who can?
When you start loving yourself, you will see another dimension of the world where only positivity lies everywhere.
In our tough times, we easily blame ourselves for everything that happens around. It’s quite normal. Our brain manipulates us to believe that we are wrong.
It is the time where self love is important. Practice self love to see the difference. Here are few ideas to practice self love.
1) Accept who you are!
The first step in loving yourself is to accept who you are. You can be introvert, extrovert or anything but always remember who you are.
Try to accept and find some ways to improve yourself. Know yourself well and start doing what you need to create the better version of yourself.
2) Stop comparing
Comparison is the poison that kills your inner peace.
Always remember that the sun and the moon are different. They have their own purposes. Likewise, each person has their unique properties.
Just think what will happen when the sun compares itself to the moon. It’ll lose its own power by worrying about what it doesn’t have. So always remember that you’re unique and you don’t need to compare yourself with others.
3) Groom yourself
Sometimes your appearance can make you feel confident. So start grooming yourself. Spend few hours in a week for grooming. It actually make you feel relaxed.
By grooming yourself, you can spend time for youself and It can improve the self love. If you are stressed, grooming yourself works well.
4) Find your passion
Everyone is passionate about something. Find what you’re passionate about. Once you found your passion, start gaining more skills and focus on the area where you need to develop.
Developing more skills on your passion will take you to the next level.
5) Journal out your thoughts
I have mentioned about journaling in many of my posts. Journaling has a major impact on self love. Write down your thoughts on your journal.
If you have any problem, write down your thoughts in your journal. Now think the possible ways to solve the problem and write down your solution. Your journal is a tool for self talk and self love.
When you love yourself, you’ll wonder how positive you are. Everyone love to be around positive and energetic person. So If you wanna be loved by everyone, first love yourself and rest will follow automatically.
